Why This Musical Is A Treat For Jimmy Buffett Fans?
There is plenty to like about Escape to Margaritaville, I mean seriously it’s got Jimmy Buffet Songs. If this wasn’t a reason enough already they had to put a number of his bests. Like there’s ‘Cheeseburger in Paradise’, ‘Volcano’, ‘it’s Five O’Clock Somewhere’ and ‘Why Don’t We Get Drunk’. Along with the ‘Margaritaville’ of course. More information is available on Wikipedia.

The last of the list before Margaritaville had the audience standing on their places singing enthusiastically. As they completed the song singing along the finishing line “Why don’t we get drunk … AND SCREW!” There are inside jokes in the musical which aren’t really that subtle. However, judging by the audience respond I assume they took it as a casual Buffett’s island vibe.
For the non-fans, however, Escape to Margaritaville could be different. Nonetheless, a largely pleasant experience, the energetic and gifted cast make it so. The musical is coming to Segerstrom Center for the Arts in February. There is a very limited Escape To Margaritaville Costa Mesa Tickets. So, get them now and make this an experience of a lifetime.
Is “Escape To Margaritaville” Just Another Jukebox Musical?
One word answer: No! What a jukebox musical means is giving the audience something they never heard before. They know it’s the musical that features their favorite singer’s songs. But what’s the fun if you’ve heard them many times. So basically they tell you a story constructed upon your favorite singer’s songs. Like there is “Jersey Boys,” about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, or “Beautiful” about Carole King.
However, “Margaritaville” is different, it doesn’t tell you Jimmy Buffett’s story but a story created from his songs. The result is one fine feather-light and bubbly musical. But you wouldn’t be able to conceive the full extent of this statement until you see it with your own eyes. So, Get Your Escape to Margaritaville Tickets Cheap now and go watch it!
So What Is “Escape To Margaritaville” Story?
A beach bum singer-songwriter, Tully Mars (Chris Clark), hangs out at Margaritaville Resort singing wooing women during their holidays at the resort. Together with him is Brick (Peter Michael Jordan), his friend. But he isn’t much of a ladies man. Then there’s Tammy (Shelly Lynn Walsh) who is engaged to Chadd (Noah Bridgestock), a narcissist jerk. Also, Tammy’s friend Rachel (Sarah Hinrichsen) who hates Chadd but is only there for her friend. Together they find love in each other’s company.
Other mentionable characters are the island resident J.D. (Patrick Cogan) and the resort’s owner, Marley (Rachel Lyn Fobbs).
Conclusion:
For all the clichés, there are some extremely fun and lovely moments. Like when Tully springs into an acoustic version of “Margaritaville.” Or that tap number with the ghosts of dead insurance agents. And there’s this adorable J.D.’s backstory in “He Went to Paris.”
