Everyone has had a rubbish time when it comes to travel in 2020, but with some restrictions easing in some places in the world, the thoughts have turned to travel planning once more. Can you travel right now? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have some time to plan everything! Even if you cannot go overseas or long-haul with your travel right now, you may still be able to get away for a weekend.

People go away to enjoy themselves in new surroundings. They want to explore and have adventure, and it’s probably why you are going on a vacation, too. The one thing that you want to bring with you for a weekend away are the little luxuries that make you happy, but while you can’t pack the kitchen sink, you can pack a range of things that will make you feel as content as can be. Let’s take a look!

  • A Little Technology

You don’t want to bring the flat screen TV and your whole book of DVDs on a weekend vacation, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t bring the portable speakers and the Troypoint’s guide to VPN on Firestick! You can still enjoy the music you love and the shows you want to watch without it costing you packing space for the car, and a little technology can turn a country lodge into a movie theatre or a dance floor!

  • Those Bath Bombs

You know those bathtubs that cover your knees and chest at the same time? Most houses don’t have those, but luxury hotels and lodges do. Bring those lucry toiletries and bath bombs that you love and use them in the perfect bathtub – the one on your vacation. Sometimes, it’s those little luxuries that really make the weekend away the perfect time to relax. Don’t forget to bring those moisturisers and body scrubs you love, too, as this is the time you have to get as pampered as possible!

  • Something To Remind You Of Home

You might only be away for a couple of days, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t bring some keepsakes. Some people take the chance to make a hotel the home away from home they need to feel content and you can do the same. You can bring a photograph you love or something like a comforter to make you feel like you’re at home – even when you’re not!

  • Bring Something Home!

Lastly, bring home a souvenir! This is a luxury weekend that you want to remember, and you can do that with local souvenirs and chocolates that will keep you smiling for a few days after you finish your weekend away.

Going away for the weekend is a luxury in itself, but you can feel like you’ve been abroad if you take the tips above! Pampering yourself, bringing things to remind you of home and bringing home something to remind you of the vacation is going to make your weekend. Don’t forget the technology for entertainment, and you’re golden!
